Head of Media Buying (m/f/d)

We’re a growth and media agency partnering with some of the most exciting digital brands in Europe, US and Asia. We plan, buy, and optimize advertising across all channels - from TV and OOH to online and programmatic - to drive measurable growth.
Now we’re looking for a Head of Media Buying (m/f/d) who lives and breathes media deals, knows the landscape inside out, and thrives on negotiating the best conditions in the market.
As our new Head of Media Buying, you’ll be the strategic and operational go-to for all things related to media conditions, partner management, and deal excellence. You’ll lead the charge in building competitive buying power, creating innovative deal structures, and ensuring our media margins remain strong across all client projects.

How you will make an impact:
- Act as the central contact for all Media Planners, Sales, and Client Partners regarding media conditions.
- Deliver outstanding conditions for pitches and ongoing projects.
- Take full ownership of the media buying margin across client portfolios.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors and sales houses, ensuring ongoing communication and collaboration.
- Identify and acquire special advertising formats, partnerships, and offers that give our clients an edge.
- Negotiate competitive rates and terms across OOH, TV, and Online — ensuring we’re always ahead of the market.
- Explore new partners, products, and providers and build long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Maintain a clear overview of conditions, commitments, and natural rebates.
Skills you will need to be successful:
- 3–5+ years of experience in media buying or trading, ideally within an agency environment.
- Proven track record in negotiating and managing media deals (OOH, TV, Digital, Programmatic).
- Exceptional negotiation and deal-making skills — creative, analytical, and commercially sharp.
- Deep understanding of the German and European media landscape.
- Solid knowledge of media currencies (GRP, c/GRP, TKP) and deal structures.
- Experience with Private Deals in Programmatic environments.
- Strong communication skills — confident with partners, persuasive in negotiations.
- Ideally, basic understanding of media planning and how it connects to buying.
